Logging daily events and performing accurate, compliant handovers are crucial to companies operating in complex environments. The mechanism for logging events has historically been inconsistent across organisations with some still using older processes which do not take advantage of current technologies. The Logbook solution is being developed to address these challenges by allowing businesses to define their own custom Logbooks in a consistent manner. Every Logbook is created with its own event structure and data capturing tailored to the custom needs of the site. This high level of customisation ensures that all appropriate events and data points are captured for even the most complex operating environments. 

Logbook entries can be configured to be manually or automatically logged based on set criteria. As entries are logged they can import data from external systems to build more context around the event. All of this can be configured to focus on creating valuable daily logs while making things easy for the operators allowing them to prioritise performing their daily operational tasks. 

Shift Handover is crucial for safe and continued operations. The Logbook can be used to automatically flag events for discussion at handover and an electronic signature can show evidence that this has taken place. This mitigates the risk of confusion at shift handover which contributes to a safer working environment. 

All the captured information across all Logbooks can used for reporting and dashboards to give a company-wide overview of current operations. This provides valuable insight into the current status of the business and allows for a more reactive response to changing circumstances.
